From Boathouse to beach, Wilbur-by-the-Sea truly is a quiet stretch of paradise. Located at 29°07′59″N 80°57′31″W, between Daytona Beach Shores and Ponce Inlet, our small community is bordered by water. To the west, the Halifax River provides phenomenal backwater fishing and quick access to the Inlet. To the east, the Atlantic Ocean provides breathtaking sunrises and year-round fishing. It is one of the two unincorporated areas in Volusia County that does not have a condominium or hotel, and prohibits beach driving.

Depending on the tides, common local catch includes redfish, flounder, black drum, and mangrove snapper. Beach fishing is also popular with the locals. Seasonal ocean catch includes redfish, tarpon, pompano, flounder and several species of shark.
